Two-way system with "red” and "green” ways on performing customs formalities and control functions in passenger customs control zone of "Zvartnots” International Airport. The "red” way is foreseen for those passengers, who transport goods subject to declaration, and "green” way choose the passengers, who don’t have goods subject to declaration.
At present in compliance with the RA Government new decision two-way system is applied only during the customs control of passengers arriving at the RA International Airports. Previously this procedure was mandatory for departing passengers as well. Besides, in contrast to those passengers, who arrive in Armenia, for passengers who depart via the RA International Airports and transit passengers it is no more mandatory to fill the customs declaration in, with the exception of the cases, when:
- the goods established by the RA customs legislation are transported through customs zone, transportation of which through customs zone is subject to tariff regulation,
- for physical parties are re-exported the goods previously imported to the RA with "temporary import” or "temporary import” for elaboration” regime,
- the physical party has a desire to fill the customs declaration in,
- are transported the works of those authors, who died in the last 50 years /for example: Martiros Saryan, Grigor Khanjyan, Hakob Kojoyan, Yervand Kochar/, for which it is mandatory to present license on permitting the exportation or temporary exportation of cultural values from the RA. Those works, which are included in especially valuable cultural values list of the RA cultural heritage established by the Government corresponding decision of 2005, are not authorized to be exported, even temporary, for example some ancient manuscripts, gospels of Matenadaran.
If there are enough bases to suppose that there are goods at the physical party subject to declaration, so before entering the customs control zone, the customs officer may stop the latter and offer to fill the customs declaration in.
The customs control of cargo imported by air is performed in "Armenia” International Airports” Cargo Terminal, where is allocated the Customs House as well. The check of the cargo is performed with new equipment, including X-ray equipment, one of which the biggest one in the republic was allocated in "Cargo” Terminal as well. It allows checking cargo with large volume in the shortest possible time.
"Zvartnots” Customs House organizes professional consolation every week, during which it is possible to be informed by the corresponding specialists on the changes made in customs legislation, and to give clarifications to the issues arising in mutual relations with customs bodies.
