Wizz Air launches three new routes and bases its 4th aircraft at Zvartnots Airport



Hungarian Wizz Air continues to expand its operations in Armenia by launching three new routes to Europe and increasing the number of aircraft based at Zvartnots International Airport.

Starting from December of this year, the airline will begin operating the following new routes:

  • Basel (Switzerland) – Yerevan – Basel route flights will start from December 18 of this year and will be operated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • Valencia (Spain) – Yerevan – Valencia route flights will start from December 19 of this year and will be operated every Tuesday and Saturday.
  • Varna (Bulgaria) – Yerevan – Varna route flights will start from June 6, 2027 and will be operated every Wednesday and Sunday.

In October of this year, Wizz Air will base its third aircraft at Zvartnots International Airport, and in December, its fourth aircraft.

The airline also plans to increase the frequency of flights on some already operating routes: the number of flights to Memmingen will reach 4 per week, while flights to Prague will reach 5 per week.

As a result of the launch of the new routes, Wizz Air's route network from Yerevan will expand to 22 destinations.
